SFA in the Finance Business Support role with a specialty in Capital Markets


This role is predominately focused on: External regulators on the MLPFS Broker Dealer.

The Regulatory Reporting team is part of the CFO organization. The primary focus of our team is report to external regulators on the MLPFS Broker Dealer. Our business partners include MLPFS Accounting, Finance, and Operations. Key priorities for our team involve all facets of the Broker Dealer Reporting with the main focus on the below:

• Daily/Weekly 15c3-3 customer/PAB reserve computations

• 15c3-1 net capital rule

• Regulatory Balance Sheet for FOCUS reporting

• Trend and Analytical reporting related to FOCUS Balance Sheet and 15c3-3 /PAB (Client Protection Rules)

• Regulatory P&L for FOCUS reporting and related analytical reporting

• Working with Internal and External Auditors

• Assisting with FINRA and other Regulator examinations and inquires

• Special Projects

* This position is posted as an SFA but is flexible to be filled as an IFA if the posted qualifications are met by a strong IFA level applicant.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance

• 3-5 years financial industry/banking experience/auditing experience

• Strong financial analytics experience

• Advanced experience/skills with Excel and complex spreadsheets (v look ups, pivot tables)

• Candidate must be able to work both independently and as team member

• Strong communication and presentation skills

• Self Starter
