Description **Job Description:**



As a Senior Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for negotiating medium complexity deals from inception to completion. This includes leveraging current and future business requirements, market intelligence, and historical spend information to develop innovative sourcing strategies that drive business value, cost reduction and risk mitigation. The Senior Procurement Specialist may also assist with developing procurement category strategies for areas of spend that includes leveraging current and future business requirements, market intelligence, and historical spend information. The Senior Procurement Specialist understands the end-to-end third party risk management lifecycle and helps to ensure their line of business partners are prepared to manage outsourcing risk. This work includes supporting the application of Procurement Policy, the effective use of third parties and may include supporting Procurement governance activities and other program requirements.



+ Able to lead a team of stakeholders in the development of RFP proposal documents, develop negotiation approaches, and is proficient in the objective analysis of proposal responses and the overall evaluation of potential service providers

+ Able to structure all elements of an RFP (technical, contractual, schedule and cost) in order to ensure that uniformed bids are received

+ Negotiates contracts utilizing best practices, assists the business owner in creating business requirements including Schedules/ Statement of Works and Service Level Agreements, providing clarity and addressing all Business requirements

+ Comfortable with legal contract concepts (Limitation of Liability, Indemnification) and able to drive negotiation acceptance of Bank of America’s required language with those terms

+ Work routinely with risk partners (Legal, Compliance, Ops, Info Sec, etc.) in negotiating deals and in managing outsourcing risk

+ Capable of assisting in the creation of procurement category strategies to achieve business goals and objectives

+ Consistently provides a high level of service by establishing and clearly communicating mutual expectations, developing an understanding of business needs and demonstrating competency and consistency in meeting commitments

+ Builds broad-based business relationships and partnerships across the organization, influences peers and colleagues to promote and sell ideas, and proactively surfaces and resolves conflict with minimal noise

+ Proven ability to operate in a matrix organization

+ Identify and escalate risks and issues to the appropriate governance routines

+ Analyze and determine adherence to Bank of America’s required Third Party program requirements

+ Quickly adapt to changes within the Procurement Program

+ Assist in providing documentation/evidence when responding to audit and/or regulatory inquiries



**Required Skills:**



+ 3-5 years of experience sourcing for various Indirect Procurement categories (Corporate Aviation, Facilities and/or Physical Security category experience a plus)

+ Four-year college degree

+ Self-starter, with capability of working autonomously across multiple procurement projects is essential

+ Contract negotiation experience

+ Sound commercial awareness and good analytical and research skills

+ High level of attention to detail

+ Comfortable with Sourcing systems (ideally Ariba)

+ Strong communicator and able to work within a team environment



**Desired Skills:**



+ Previous experience within the Financial Services Industry preferred
