Description **Job Description:**

This role is for a Risk Analysis Senior Specialist on the Wholesale Loss Forecasting (WLF) team. This is a unique experience to analyze credit risk on a $450 BN commercial loan portfolio at Bank of America. This role plays a critical part of the Bank’s CCAR/DFAST/stress testing, financial planning, and risk management activities.

The position requires a strong understanding of economics, credit, markets and finance with the ability to apply those concepts to data analysis. The ideal candidate will be able to combine business acumen with analytical skills and synthesize multiple analysis into a coherent message for senior leaders.

The position will interact with a wide variety of stakeholders including credit managers, risk managers, quantitative model developers, technology, finance, capital, and allowance. The candidate will have the opportunity to explore new analysis, develop actionable recommendations, and present to senior leaders. The ability to collaborate with and influence others, both inside and outside of the immediate organization, is a must.

Required Skills:

+ BS/BA degree in Economics, Finance, Business Statistics or other related field

+ 5-7 years of experience in analysis (especially credit analysis) with a demonstrated track record of synthesizing multiple analysis into a cohesive whole

+ Demonstrate a combination of business acumen, analysis skills, strategic and creative thinking

+ Strong written/oral communications skills; ability to communicate with both technical and executive audiences

+ Evidence the following characteristics: assertiveness; attention to detail; initiative; leadership; and risk mindset (ability to “speak up” and challenge others)

+ Flexibility to work both independently with little supervision or in a complex team environment

+ High proficiency with MS Excel, SQL, and Power Point

Desired Skills:

+ MBA or Masters in business or analytics field

+ Working knowledge of credit modeling, especially PD x LGD x EAD constructs

+ Proficiency with LaTeX, Workiva, Tableau, Python or SAS

+ Experience with CCAR / DFAST regulatory submissions

+ Experience in commercial credit

Enterprise Role Overview:

Responsible for performing complex analysis and is engaged in the development of modeling that maximizes profits and asset growth and minimizes credit and operating losses and other risk exposures. Provides analytical support on various product strategies to ensure company goals are met. Coordinates the production of performance reports for senior mgt. Reviews and analyzes trends in current population distributions and recommends strategies. May participate in or develop complex program models to extract data and use databases to provide statistical and financial modelling. Master's degree or large data experience preferred; Programming experience like SQL, SAS preferred and/or Micro Strategy experience preferred. Minimum of 5 years experience.
