Sodexo is seeking a part time (20 hours per week) Registered Dietitian to join their dynamic team at Billings Clinic in Billings, Montana.


This position is in the Research Department as the Research Coordinator.  The responsibilities will include recruiting study participants, screening study participants to ensure they qualify for the study, following up with study patients, and completing all required documentation as well as some nutrition education for outpatients on weight management.  Due to the intense training required for the Research Coordinator role, we do ask for a minimum of 1 year in this position before ing for other positions.

Billings Clinic is a Regional acute care, community-owned health care organization consisting of a multi-specialty physician group practice, a 285-bed hospital, and a 90-bed skilled nursing and assisted living facility. This hospital is the major medical center for a three-state area with state-of-the-art care in oncology, intensive care, cardiology and surgery.


The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong acute care experience, either as a dietitian or in a dietetic internship
  • Prior experience with utilizing the nutrition care process and electronic health records charting
  • Ability to work well with physicians/providers, nursing, and ancillary staff
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, as well as independently and be outcome focused
  • Strong desire to continue learning and advancing clinical skills
  • The opportunity to participate in Performance Improvement projects, assist with department performance improvement, participate in patient satisfaction, employee training, and precepting dietetic interns
  • Good time management skills

Position Summary

Responsible for providing direct basic nutrition services
Key Duties
-Provides nutrition care to population served to ensure needs and customer satisfaction levels are met.
-Maintains and develops client relationships and client satisfaction to ensure account retention.
-Manages, promotes, and educates others on food and nutrition programs according to Sodexo standards and policy.
-Collaborates and communicates with culinary and clinical departments on established processes, special diets, and menu requests and probes potential problems and apprises manager of status on resolution of problems or issues, using appropriate Sodexho resource when necessary.
-Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as Sodexo/client policies and procedures (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel) by keep abreast of the most recent nutrition-related trends, research, policy, certifications, and standards of practice.
-Follows operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to other departments..


Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree

Basic Functional Experience -  Meets eligibility requirements for certification as a Registered Dietitian
