    Sodexo is seeking an Patient Services Manager at a hospital in Austin, TX. A 330+ bed high volume acute care hospital. This account has a fast paced, high volume food service department focused on achieving patient satisfaction with Sodexo's At Your Request Room Service Program, recently remodeled cafe, satellite Starbucks Bistro, and active on-site catering. 


    You will direct and participate in all of the daily food operations for the patient meal services utilizing "At Your Request" a room service patient meal program.  


    Responsibilities will include:

    • Daily patient meal rounding, interacting with the patients and nursing staff
    • Identifying and implementing process improvement to increase patient satisfaction
    • Tray audits and ensuring timely delivery of patient meals
    • Training and development of staff
    • Ensuring food safety and sanitation compliance
    • Being proficient with At Your Request computer program systems   

    The successful candidate will have food service supervisory/management experience, computer literacy, the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, and department associates as well as excellent communication, leadership and customer service skills. Prior experience in health-care with a nutritional background would be a plus for this role.  



    Position Summary

    Provides direction for patient meal services at patient care units to ensure customer satisfaction and retention for the Company.
    Key Duties
    - Directs daily operations of patient meal services at patient care units to ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory and resources to perform their jobs and meet goals and deadlines.

    - Supervises day-today work activities by delegating authority, assigning, scheduling, and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards.

    - Establishes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to employees.

    - Performs audits and prepares reports.




    Qualifications & Requirements

    Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
    Basic Management Experience - 2 years
    Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
