Orrick’s Corporate Group is seeking a mergers & acquisition / private equity attorney having 2 – 4 years of experience to join us in our firm’s Wheeling, West Virginia office as a career associate to remotely assist senior attorneys.

The candidate should have experience with one or more areas of mergers & acquisitions, private equity, public and/or private company representation, and corporate governance. Candidate will provide transactional assistance with due diligence, drafting of ancillary agreements, research, client deliverables, and project management to an array of clients in the technology and energy sectors, whether publicly traded or privately held, as well as cross-border transactions.  Must have exceptional legal skills and attention to detail. Superior interpersonal communication skills with superiors and clients. Must be able to work with clients in a fast-paced environment and to meet established deadlines.


Job Requirements:
  • 2-4 years of experience.
  • JD from accredited law school.

  • Licensure from at least one (1) jurisdiction; West Virginia bar admission will be required within twelve months of hire.
  • Excellent academic credentials.

  • Detail oriented.
  • Must possess superior legal research, writing, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be motivated, disciplined, and have the ability to excel in high pressure situations.
  • Experience in one or more areas of mergers & acquisitions, private equity, venture capital, and public and/or private company client representation.
