HR Manager, Business Partner and Projects

This is a diverse HR Management role where you will serve as the Human Resources partner to assigned business client group(s), as well as have ownership for functional area(s) in HR and/or key initiatives.   You will apply strong well-rounded HR experience and skills to make an impact in HR and the organization through innovative approaches, focus on our most valuable asset - our people, and excellence in HR service delivery. 

Essential Duties:
-Support assigned client groups with relations, staffing plans, organization changes, performance management, management and employee coaching, employee relations, investigations, training delivery, employee disciplinary actions, terminations, HR program activity and other HR initiatives.
-May serve as a escalation resource for field HR Managers on complex employee relations matters, involuntary termination requests, and investigations.  
-Lead and contribute to HR initiatives to develop or improve policies, procedures and programs.
-Coach and advise managers on employee related managers.
-Lead programs and activities for Performance Management,  Organization Development, and training programs.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

-Depth of understanding various areas of law and compliance applicable to business of a national, government contracting, public company.
-Experience with successful assessment, advice, and resolution of complex employee relations matters
-An action oriented results driven leader that can rapidly shift gears in a fast paced dynamic and complex environment while maintaining a positive ‘can-do’ attitude.
-Leads by example and is a servant leader that adds value daily scaling from planning, developing, problem resolution and coaching, to rolling up your sleeves to ‘get things done’ in processes, programs, and transaction based activities.
-Strong customer service focus and business partnership orientation
-Success in development and continuous improvement of processes, programs and procedures that enable the business while maintaining compliance and risk mitigation.
-Effective listening, but also persuasively convey opinions, recommendations and counsel
-Investigates and applies strong analytical skills appropriately to issues, data, programs and other areas to  problem solve, identify root causes, trends, and develop recommendations. 
-Excellent judgement in recommending approaches to take in response to issues, prepares applicable documentation. 
-Project manage HR initiatives applying solid project principles and tools.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
-Strong commitment to ethics and confidentiality.
-Make good decisions and perform work independently to drive results given direction in the form of objectives.
-Completes all assigned compliance training and other requirements, and complies with all company policies and procedures.
-Work full-time on-site and as needed to meet business needs. May Travel to other sites as needed infrequently.

Physical Requirements
Job is in a busy standard office environment with moderate noise level, sits at a desk during scheduled shift, uses office phone system; views a computer monitor, types on a keyboard and uses a mouse. Reads and comprehends information in electronic (computer) or paper form (written/printed).
*Sit/stand 8 or more hours per day; has the option to stand as needed while on calls; reach as needed to use office equipment
*Consistently viewing a computer screen, typing, using a keyboard and mouse
*Uses phone; head-set can be provided
*Occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 10lbs.
Education and Experience:

-BA/BS degree in business, human resources, or combination of education and equivalent practical experience.
-10+ years progressive professional level HR experience in a fast-paced dynamic environment including employee relations and responsibility for policies, programs and procedures.
-3+ years experience managing exempt professional HR staff
-Experience with application of Federal and State employment and leave laws and how they work together.

Performant is a government contractor. Certain client assignments for this position may require submission to and successful outcome of additional background and/or clearances throughout employment with the Company. 

-Must submit to and pass background check. Must not have any Federal or State liens resulting from County, State or Federal tax issues.
-Must not have any current defaulted student loans.
-Must be able to pass a criminal background check; must not have any felony convictions or specific misdemeanors.
-Must submit to and pass drug screen.
