Description **Job Description:**



The employee is responsible for processing new account requests and answering incoming calls to assist branch offices, other internal business partners, and clients with inquiries related to new accounts. This is a dual function role and any candidate would be responsible for both phone calls and processing. In addition, the employee will also assist with account replacement for clients experiencing fraud. At times, the employee is also required to research and resolve urgent requests in a timely fashion. The employee must apply sound judgment and enterprise-wide mindset in making decisions and execute strong risk mitigation activities in support of Line of Business and Enterprise objectives.



Support can include, but might not be limited to:



+ Answer incoming MLSN and client calls for new account requests and for fraud account replacement

+ Research and resolve escalated issues, as applicable

+ Follow up / ensure completion of items requiring follow up and/or documentation

+ Provide exceptional customer service to internal/external clients

+ Meet or exceed all expected timeframes

+ Maintain strong risk mitigation routines in identifying, escalating and debating risk

+ Demonstrate strong ability to work in a virtual environment



**Required skills:**



+ Strong analytical ability, able to think outside of the box

+ Self-starter, must be willing to asks questions and constantly seek ways for process improvement

+ Strong PC skills, proficient in MS Office specifically Excel and Outlook

+ Able to prioritize issues and handle several sensitive processes at once in a timely fashion

+ Must develop a deep understanding of their process quickly and be able to speak to their process across all levels of the organization

+ Ability to communicate effectively, both with written and spoken words

+ Must be able to work independently, excellent decision making skills, work for accuracy and must be able to meet deadlines

+ Client/Customer Service background preferred

+ Knowledge of deposit products and overall understanding of Merrill Lynch products desired

+ Acts with a sense of urgency and creates this in others

+ Displays problem-solving and organizational skills

+ Acts decisively and with good judgment

+ Must be flexible & adaptable; multi-tasker

+ Motivated individual who maintains a positive and professional attitude at all times

+ Must not be on any form of disciplinary action

+ Last rating must be at least M/M
