Do you have what it takes to run a Child Nutrition Program? Are you ready to spend the next couple of months absorbing Sodexo's culture, understanding our mission and values and learning our processes and technology to improve the Quality of Life of children in a K-12 School district?  We are currently searching for a General Manager  to embark on our resource training program with an end goal of becoming a full-fledged General Manager at  K-12 School District.

What does this Position do?   

In this position, you'll spend a majority of your time and training and preparing for the role of General Manager for a K-12 Child Nutrition Director.   The training is generally 2-4 months in length and covers all aspects of Sodexo's management including company culture, customer focus, business process, financial analysis and reporting, and overall leadership skills. It's your time to shine!

Once training is complete, you'll have the opportunity to for an open General Manager role nationwide where you'll serve as the leader of child nutrition for everything within the 4 walls of the District, including the Healthy Hunger Free Kids Act, USDA requirements, including revenue, profitability, financial reporting.   You will have the opportunity to work with a highly engaged team that values coaching, mentoring and growth while empowering employees to serve as a trusted advisor and solution provider for our clients needs.


Bachelors degree preferred, and 4 years school nutrition experience.

Position Summary

Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement – Associate’s degree, with academic major in food and nutrition, food service management, dietetics, family and consumer sciences, nutrition education, culinary arts, business, or a related field

Basic Management Experience - 3 years

Basic Functional Experience - 4 years of relevant school nutrition programs experience
