Sodexo Senior Living is seeking a Food Service Manager 2 for Gracedale County Home, a 675 resident long-term care and rehab facility located in Nazareth, Pennsylvania. This Food Service Manager will support the high-volume, fast paced operations of kitchen for lunch and dinner trayline and dinner cafe operations.  Will oversee the day to day operations with efficiency using ideal and company standards of excellence. Will report to the General Manager and manage and be responsible for hiring a staff of approximately 20 employees, union staff. Typical shift will be 11:45am - 8:45pm, scheduled days will vary with every other weekend.


The ideal candidate will have previous food service experience in a healthcare environment with knowledge of Department of Health regulatory guidelines.  Will have the ability to train cooks and fill in for cooking as needed. A background in food production knowledge, basic culinary skills, Serv-safe certification, sanitation knowledge, food safety audits, and  strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with several generations in the workplace is needed.  Will possess excellent leadership and communication skills and be hands on during dining experiences where the position will interface with the client and residents on a regular basis.

This position is also responsible for ensuring the positive outcomes for all planning and organizing in support of the Sodexo Brand at all dining experiences in a respectful and appreciative manner.

Position Summary

Provides supervision for multi-functional food service areas at an account/unit to ensure client satisfaction and retention for the Company.  Contributes to account revenue and operating profit through the implementation of Sodexo programs while executing against Standard Operating Procedures.
Key Duties
- Maintains and develops client relationships and customer satisfaction for multi-functional food service areas to ensure account retention and positive public relations
- Establishes and maintains a safe work environment
- Supervises day-to-day work activities by delegating authority, assigning and prioritizing activities and monitoring operating standards
- Utilizes Sodexo resources and programs to ensure operating standards and regulatory requirements are met and employees have the necessary equipment and inventory
- Manages by providing positive and constructive feedback to employees in order to reward, coach, correct and motivate in order drive a high-level of employee engagement



Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent     

Basic Management Experience - 1 year
