    Sodexo is seeking an experienced Environmental Services Operations Manager 1 for Lahey Clinic North - a "Blue Chip" account located in Peabody, Massachusettes. In addition to day to day operations for the housekeeping dept, primary responsibility is to provide Quality Assurance and technical training for the EVS staff; administer bed management software; work with nursing team regarding bed management; and intereact with patients to solicit their feedback on Sodexo services. Ideal candidate will plan, direct, and document all department training for the ES department - including but not limited to TJC regulatory standards, floor care, chemicals / cleaning safety, bed tracking and customer service; be familiar w/Sodexo's ES UOS, TRAKKAR, regulatory requirements; have solid computer skills; have proven leadership; develop and maintain good working relationships with hospital administrators and hospital nursing team. CHESP certification highly desired.


    This Operations Manager 1 will have responsibility over inpatient areas as well as clinic outpatient areas. The selected candidate will train and develop a team of up to 30 employees in the Environmental Services/Housekeeping department. This Operations Manager will provide leadership and insight through our Sodexo programs.  The ideal candidate will have previous Environmental Services, Housekeeping and/or Custodial Management experience in a health care/hospital environment with a successful work history leading others. JCAHO experience is preferred. Seeking self-starters with excellent customer service, communication and relationship building skills. Driving patient and customer satisfaction is essential for the success of this role. Sodexo experience is a plus. This is a 1st shift position.

    Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, Burlington, encompasses an ambulatory care center serving more than 3,000 patients each day and a 335-bed hospital. Lahey Medical Center, Peabody, serves more than 800 outpatients each day and includes a 10-bed hospital. Both feature 24-hour emergency departments, and an American College of Surgeons verified Level II Trauma Center is based at the Burlington facility. Lahey's community-based physicians have a wide range of special interests. The community group practices feature adult internists, pediatricians and family practice specialists.     Position Summary

    Provides management oversight for Environmental Services exempt and non-exempt level staff (client and/or Sodexo employees) in the delivery of Sodexo Environmental Service Programs. Ensures Environmental Service programs are in place and functioning according to design to consistently meet all company, client, and regulatory requirements.
    Key Duties
    -Establishes a safe work environment for clients, customers and staff by ensuring equipment safety and compliance with Sodexho safety and loss prevention programs and by providing safety-related training and equipment inventory and maintenance.
    -Assumes GM responsibilities and authority in his or her absence
    -Supervises day-to-day work activities by delegating authority, assigning and prioritizing activities, and monitoring compliance to operating standards.
    -Ensures compliance with application of all Sodexo Quality Assurance and Regulatory standards within the contractually agreed upon scope of services.
    -Establish and/or adhere to defined operating standards, develops and implements quality improvements and ensures direct reports and staff adhere to the standards and expectations.
    -Assists with Management of Environmental Service budget by ensuring full compliance to established operating standards, monitoring costs (e.g. labor, inventory, equipment, and material), and taking corrective action as needed.
