Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer is seeking an entry-level/junior associate to join the Employee Benefits/Executive Compensation team in our Chicago office. Ideal applicants have a record of outstanding academic achievement, superior writing and analytical skills, relevant work experience, participation in law review, journals, clinical legal work, and/or extracurricular activities, and a demonstrated interest in ERISA and executive compensation work.  Law students currently in their final year of law school will be considered.

Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer's Employee Benefits/Executive Compensation  practice brings a multidisciplinary approach to solving our clients' problems, with our lawyers having deep experience not only with ERISA and tax law aspects of compensation and benefits programs, but also with corporate, securities, and employment law aspects that often are key to developing comprehensive solutions.

We have a long tradition of advising a diverse client base that includes publicly held corporations, privately held corporations, financial institutions, partnerships and limited liability companies (including private equity funds and hedge funds), and not-for-profit entities.

Our employee benefits and executive compensation attorneys work with clients on a wide range of  matters. We provide advice on the tax code's rules governing executive compensation; the compensation and benefits aspects of mergers, acquisitions, and bankruptcies; fiduciary duty and prohibited transaction rules under ERISA; tax-qualified plans; and plan terminations.
