Xilinx is looking for an Employee Communications Senior Manager with an entrepreneurial spirit who will bring new ideas to life with creativity and business impact. You will be responsible for informing, inspiring, and motivating our employees.  The ideal candidate can create and lead an internal communications strategy and programs that elevate employee brand, pride, and connections.
You are capable of building a functionally aligned strategy and plan, and understand key business elements. Ideally, you anticipate the needs of your stakeholders, and work tirelessly to create honest and clear communications. You are creative and resourceful and have an eye for detail. And you are a strong strategist, writer, and project manager. You must have experience in the high tech industry, executive level engagement, deep understanding of employee communications best practices, and the ability to drive cross-functional teams. 
Responsibilities include but not limited to:


  • Develop and drive internal communications strategy and planning. Continually seek out and learn about best practices to make a positive impact on the direction of communications within Xilinx.
  • Collaborate with partners across functions globally to support communications execution (building narratives about business initiatives, projects, product launches, and people).
  • Provide strategic communications counsel to executives to cultivate thought leadership.
  • Partner with marketing, external communications, and other communications partners on integrated communications plans (policy, product launches, PR, social).
  • Partner with HR to establish and proliferate employer and recruiting brand.
  • Lead operations, writing, editing, and distribution of content across diverse channels including intranet, email, newsletters, social media, recruitment sites, live events, digital signage, etc.
  • Plan and contribute to global earnings employee meetings and communications.
  • Establish and lead intranet strategy, content, and governance.
  • Coordinate all employee messaging and communications globally.
  • Handle the internal communication planning for, and response to, crisis situations.
  • Manage a team of direct reports and lead their high performance and ongoing development.
  • Manage activities of outside consultants/vendors to ensure that projects are consistently on time, within budget, and meet the company's standards of quality.
  • Implement measurement tools and metrics to ensure that internal communication efforts build meaningful engagement and meet/exceed targets. Reevaluate plans regularly to check progress.




  • 12 years of corporate communications experience with 8 years in employee communications, in a multinational organization of at least 2,000 global employees.
  • Four-year degree. BA in journalism, communications, public relations, or marketing preferred.
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with diplomacy and keen judgment.
  • Ability to build communications strategies and play an active role executing them.
  • Demonstrated employee communications expertise and strong business leadership skills.
  • Business operations acumen with experience in managing annual budgets of at least $250K.
  • Must be confident, highly motivated, and passionate about making a difference.
  • Creative thinker and strong decision maker.
  • Strong knowledge of digital communications and social media platforms.
  • Experience leading intranet efforts in partnership with multiple internal organizations.
  • Proven ability to build relationships across a diverse, global organization and with executives, fostering trust and credibility (executive communication experience preferred).
  • Passionate about testing new ideas and innovating to drive business results.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with an ability to turn complex ideas into stories easily understood by a broad audience.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
