Competitive Marketing Analyst


Xilinx is looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong technical background and good communication skills to be a Competitive Analyst in the Technical Marketing organization.  This individual will drive and support key aspects of the Xilinx FPGA/SoC competitive marketing strategy by studying the competitive landscape in Data Center and other key markets, identifying opportunities to differentiate Xilinx products, and performing analysis and benchmarking of our offerings for comparison to other solutions.  This role will provide opportunities to work hands-on with the silicon, IP, and design tools to provide technically credible evidence supporting Xilinx product advantages.
The Competitive Technical Marketing role also involves working cross functionally with engineering groups, market business teams and other organizations within the company to define methodologies for competitive analysis and to create high leverage, effective collateral and demonstrations that depict Xilinx products in the proper competitive context.   In addition, this individual will work with the Xilinx Sales and FAE force to collect customer feedback regarding the competitiveness of our products and to supply competitive intelligence in support of critical design win opportunities.  Education of the broader sales force on competitive topics is another key function of this role.
Applicants should have creativity, good judgment, ability to multitask, and general business acumen in addition to a solid technical foundation. 


Job Requirements
  • BSEE, CS or Computer Engineering or related field; Masters degree is a plus
  • 4 years' of industry experience
  • Technical background with hands-on software tool methodology, hardware and design tool experience
  • Background in Data Center markets and applications strongly desired
  • Design experience using Xilinx and other FPGAs/SoCs a plus
  • Strong time management and ability to multitask
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and strong presentation skills
  • Experience working with a Sales force, FAEs, and/or customers
  • Ability to make persuasive arguments, marketing experience desired
