Orrick currently has an excellent opportunity for a Client Relationship Events Coordinator in the Silicon Valley or San Francisco office.

The Client Relationship Coordinator is part of Orrick’s sales and events team. These internal and external facing professionals focus on enhancing client satisfaction and achieving the firm’s strategic business development goals. The Client Relationship Coordinator’s primary function is supporting client events of all types, from small intimate key client dinners to major sponsorships, conferences and any Orrick hosted meetings. The Client Relationship Coordinator is expected to have a strong grasp of Orrick’s firm strategy, be conversant in our three verticals, market leading practice groups – specifically understanding how a particular event ties to our business development goals. The Client Relationship Coordinator is not only expected to execute excellent events but also to be integrally involved in making sure Orrick participants are briefed on clients and prospects in attendance as well as capturing what worked, areas for improvement and an overall ROI rating following every event. The Client Relationship Coordinator works in close collaboration with the sales, marketing and communications teams, as well as other operations staff.

The position can be based in either Orrick’s Silicon Valley or San Francisco offices, but will require travel to the other office, possibly several times a week and other offsite locations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business or Marketing or equivalent work experience
• 2-3 years of event planning experience is required; law firm or professional services background a plus
• Team player who enjoys a high-paced environment and multi-faceted job responsibilities
• Work effectively with and gain the confidence of people at all levels of an organization
• Strong project management skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Excellent technical skills and/or being open to learning and working with CRM and event technology and database management tools
